I encourage my clients to discover curiosity and compassion toward problematic parts of themselves in order to heal and grow.”
I work well with clients who desire more vitality and integrity in their relationships and in their own lives. Whether in individual, couples or group therapy, I challenge my clients to access their core strength and personal power to make lasting changes.
I connect deeply and authentically with my clients.
It is ultimately the relationship between therapist and client that heals.”
Understanding the complexity of the human personality and the neuroscience of the brain, I help clients shift their perspective and their relationship to themselves. I encourage them to discover curiosity and compassion toward problematic parts of themselves in order to heal and grow, while concurrently developing their strengths. This allows for healthy integration and functioning, and clients feel and relate remarkably better.
It is ultimately the relationship between therapist and client that heals. My extensive experience, compassion and knowledge inform my treatment of a variety of emotional and psychological issues. My approach has been highly effective in treating adult anxiety and depression, relational and sexual issues, compulsions, addictions, bipolar disorder and developmental trauma.
In marriage counseling, my work with couples follows a differentiation model as described by David Schnarch’s Intimacy and Desire. With deep respect for a person’s capacity for both integrity and denial, I help couples and individuals transform problematic dynamics in their lives through honest insight and necessary action. My style is both respectful and challenging as I encourage clients to self-confront and make needed changes.
